Terms of use
These are the rules for using Little Sips, written plainly. By using the app you agree to them. Last updated 19 October 2026.
Who we are
The app is made and run by Little Sips. You can contact us at hello@littlesips.co.uk.
What the app is, and is not
Little Sips is a diary for logging your baby's feeds, poos and moments, and sharing them with the people who look after your baby.
It is not medical advice. Expected feed times, totals and the patterns on the Trends page come from what you log. They are there to help you notice things, not to tell you what is right for your baby. Every baby is different. If you are worried about your baby's feeding, weight or health, speak to your health visitor, midwife, GP or NHS 111. In an emergency, call 999.
Your household code
- Your diary is shared using a household code. Anyone who has the code can see and change everything in that diary, including photos.
- Only share it with people you trust, and keep a copy somewhere safe. There are no accounts, so if every phone that uses the diary is lost and nobody kept the code, I cannot recover it for you.
- You are responsible for who you give the code to.
What you put in the app
- What you log, write and upload stays yours. You allow me to store it and show it to the people who use your household code, which is needed for the app to work.
- Only add photos and notes you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful or harmful.
- How your information is handled is explained in the privacy page.
Using the app fairly
Please do not try to get into other people's diaries, copy data out of the service in bulk, overload it, or interfere with how it works. I may stop access for anyone who does.
Price
The app is free to use. Paid extras may be offered in the future; if they are, you will see the price clearly before you pay, and nothing is charged without your say-so.
Keeping the app running
- I take reasonable care to keep the app working and your diary safe, but I cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.
- The app may change over time, and features may be added or removed. If I ever stop running it, I will give notice where I can so you can download a copy of your diary first.
- You can save a copy of everything at any time with "Download a backup" in Settings. It is worth doing now and then.
Responsibility
- Nothing in these terms limits anything that cannot be limited by law, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
- Apart from that, I am not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for decisions made using information in the app, or for problems caused by things outside my control, such as your phone, your internet connection or someone you shared your code with.
Stopping
You can stop using the app at any time. To delete your diary, open Settings and tap "Delete this household". You can also email me with your household code and it will be removed.
If you downloaded it from the App Store
Apple's standard licence terms for apps also apply. Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it; please contact me instead.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top will change. If a change matters, the app will say so.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your own country's courts.
